Visiting Casares means taking in the pure essence of Andalusia. It is no coincidence that this town has the privilege of being the birthplace of Blas Infante, widely known as the "founding father of Andalusian identity". Its town centre, which has been declared a historic-artistic site, leads us into a labyrinth of whitewashed streets laid out in Moorish style, where truly unique corners can be seen. An Arab Castle crowns the town with excellent panoramic views of the village and the coastline. It is very near an important natural site with truly spectacular karst formations, where one can go hiking along beautiful paths. The La Hedionda Baths can be found on the outskirts of town which, according to tradition, were ordered to be built by the Roman Emperor Julius Caesar to give thanks for being cured of the skin disease he suffered. If you prefer, you can spend a day on the beach. There is nothing better than enjoying Casares' Mediterranean coastline, which is fully equipped with all the services you may need.
