The website www.qualifica.org is provided for the purpose of offering information about the Consorcio, its members, projects and activities, including a section with the Contractor Profile, with information regarding ongoing tenders and awarded contracts, in compliance with current regulations.

The website costadelsoloccidental.org is a platform that collects data on tourist information regarding the western Costa del Sol. It brings together information regarding tourist resources and companies from the municipalities of the western Costa del Sol, considering it to be a tourist destination.

The aim of the website is to improve the tourist information system in an integrated manner, providing tourists with up-to-date and reliable information so that they may plan their visit to the above destination. Its purpose is to provide a high-quality service which meets the needs of the current tourism market.

Developing this website is part of the Consorcio’s business purpose, as stipulated in its articles of incorporation. Specifically, within the activities that may help to increase and improve the quality of the range of tourist products and increase the competitiveness of the destination and the development of the region.

The Qualifica Plan’s area of activity covers the municipalities of: Benalmádena, Casares, Estepona, Fuengirola, Manilva, Marbella, Mijas and Torremolinos, which make up the western Costa del Sol destination. Therefore, the information contained on the website will refer to these eight municipalities in the western Costa del Sol.

The data shown on the platform comes from official sources, i.e. the websites of the town councils of the Consorcio’s area of activity, mainly relating to tourism and cultural matters. It also comes from other official sources such as the Andalusian Historical Heritage Institute (IAPH) or the Andalusian Network of Protected Areas (REMPA), and additional information is provided by the companies who want their information to be published on the platform.

Furthermore, the conditions for contracting, cancellation, payment methods, warranties, rights, etc. are the responsibility of the companies involved in preparing the packages and providing the services.

In this respect, the Consorcio, through the website costadelsoloccidental.org only acts as a platform whereby the user enters to purchase these services, but it is not involved in the management per se. Thus, during this transaction, the user participates as a contracting party and the external company as the contractor through which the purchase is managed. In other words, these companies operate independently and are not connected to the specific functions of the Consorcio Qualifica.
